2026-04-05Login, Password, and 2FA/MFA Troubleshooting
Help with signing in, resetting your password, and setting up two-factor authentication.
Signing In
Go to the CrewSnap sign-in page and enter your email address and password. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you will be prompted to enter a verification code after signing in.
Common Sign-In Issues
- "Authentication failed" -- Double-check your email and password. Passwords are case-sensitive.
- Account not verified -- If you recently signed up, check your email for a verification link. See "Creating and Managing Accounts" for details.
- Locked out after enabling 2FA -- See the Two-Factor Authentication section below.
Resetting Your Password
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?
- Enter the email address associated with your account.
- Check your inbox for a password reset link.
- Click the link and enter your new password.
If you don't receive the reset email, check your spam or junk folder. The link expires after a limited time -- if it has expired, request a new one.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA/MFA)
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code from an authenticator app in addition to your password.
Setting Up 2FA
- Sign in and go to Settings.
- In the My Settings section, click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app to verify setup.
- You will be signed out automatically. Sign back in using your password and authenticator code.
Signing In with 2FA
After entering your email and password, you will be redirected to a verification page. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to complete sign-in.
Disabling 2FA
- Go to Settings > My Settings.
- Click Disable Two-Factor Authentication.
- Enter a 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm.
Company-Required 2FA
Your company admin or owner may require all users to enable two-factor authentication. If this is enabled, you will be prompted to set up 2FA and will not be able to dismiss the prompt until you do.
Lost Access to Your Authenticator App
If you no longer have access to your authenticator app and cannot sign in, contact your company admin or email support@crewsnap.app for assistance.
